These minute to win it games for groups are some the best team minute to win it games out there! These are the it games of the year and everyone will love them!
If you couldn’t tell already, I love me some minute to win it games. I’ve come up with minute to win it games for pretty much every holiday, every occasion, and every theme I could think of. That’s the true beauty of minute to win it games – you can really make them work for any theme, any group, and any age! Even my 5-year-old loves to play!
How to Play These Team Minute to Win It Games
While I am calling these minute to win it games for groups or team minute to win it games , really there are three different ways you can play these games, and they don’t necessarily have to be played in groups or on teams of any kind. They just happen to be games that work well for groups, or at least most of them! We’ve played them with individuals and been just fine!
You choose. No matter which way you choose, I guarantee they’ll still be fun. For more details on how to play minute to win it games , check out my minute to win it guide!
Style #1: Man vs. Clock – In this version, one player will be trying to beat the clock for each game. So for instance, they will have to try and get all of the sprinkles from one bottle to another within a minute (hence the Minute to Win It). If they do, they win a prize. If not, let someone else have a shot. If you go with this style, I recommend choosing a different person for each game.
Style #2: Head to Head – In this style, you’ll pick two players for each game who will going head to head against each other playing a game rather than trying to beat the clock. So you’ll give each person a bottle and see who can get the sprinkles from one bottle to the next first. The first person to finish wins the prize. Again, rotate through pairs for each game, repeating players as necessary.
Style #3: Team Competition – In this style, you’ll split your group into two (or 3 or 10 depending on the number of guests) teams. For each game, teams must choose one player to compete head to head in the game with the other teams. So for instance, each team will be given a bottle and the first team to finish will receive 10 points, the second team will receive 5, etc.
This works best if you have quite a few people and is a good way to get everyone involved cheering for their team. If you have a lot of people but not a lot of space, try heats where Team A competes again Team B, Team C competes against Team D, and then the winners of the two heats plays against each other for the points.
Easy Minute to Win It Games for Groups
#1 – Feed the Monster (or Insert Creature Name Here)
I mentioned this before but for many of these games, simply replace what I used in my game for something to match your theme. In this game, the idea is that to win you have to feed the creature – aka toss a piece of candy into a 2-liter soda bottle. It’d be really fun to use a picture of say Sven and do a feed the reindeer option with these Frozen party games .
To play, put a 2-liter bottle 3-5 feet away from a taped line on the group. Tape a picture of your “creature” on the bottle and put a bowl of either Skittles or M&Ms by the taped line on the ground. If you’re playing with multiple players at once, give each player different color candies.
Players have to race to try and be the first to toss their candy in the bottle. While we did it with Coke, I recommend drinking the soda first and filling it up with water so you can see what color candy made it into the bottle if you have a number of people all playing at once.

#2 – Suck it Up
In this game, players must suck up jewels with a straw and then put them back down to cover a paper cut out completely. We did it with. a dog but you could do a snowman or a reindeer or even a pumpkin. And we did jewels, but you could also do something like candy or really anything else that’s about the same size and weight.
This would also work really well with these princess party games if you wanted to do jewels placed on a tiara.
#3- Slap Happy
#3- Slap Happy Two players on a team have to transfer a crumbled up paper ball from one end of the room to the other by slapping the paper ball back and forth to each other using books to slap it to each other.
The only real rule to this game is that they have to hit the paper ball back and forth to each other, one person cannot hit it twice in a row. You can also do this with something like a Nerf ball or plastic pumpkin (that’s what we did for these fall party games ).
#4 – Book Hockey
Set up an obstacle course of cones, toys, or whatever you have around the house. Player must use a broom to get a book (or whatever object you choose if you don’t want to use a book) from one side of the obstacle course to a goal at the other side of the course.
Make it even more challenging by blindfolding one teammate and having another teammate call out directions to guide them along the course.
Or try this version of hockey that we played during our Olympics party games instead! Both are really fun and great for minute to win it!
#5 – Wrap Around
Two players must use colored streamers and wrap the streamers around another player to wrap the player up like a mummy. Teams have one minute to completely wrap the other player up or to make the best overall mummy (if competing against another team).
You can always change this up a bit too for any theme like the reindeer wrap we did as part of these Christmas party games last year!
#6 – Cup of Fun
Before the game, put a sticker on the bottom of a couple of plastic cups. Put those marked plastic cups in with a bunch of other plastic cups and turn them all over so the bottom is hidden. Fill cups about 1/4 full (depending on the size of the cups) with a drink that makes sense for your party then line them up in a square on a table.
To play, players have to choose a cup, drink what’s in the cup, and keep going until they find a sticker one. If you’re playing with multiple teams, you can either have them take turns choosing and drinking cups or you can have them race to see who can get to a marked cup first.
A fun alternative to this if you don’t want to make everyone drink a lot is to do the same thing I did in silly smash in this birthday party games post, just using cups instead of cones! And don’t smash them, just pick one and do the task inside if you don’t get a sticker.

#7 – Eat or Be Eaten
#7 – Eat or Be Eaten Before the party, make red or orange gelatin with some sort of food safe object in the bottom of the bowl. Player has a minute to get to the object by eating through the jello, no hands allowed.
#8 – Blindfold Bowling
You can play this with really anything you can think of for bowling pins – cones, water bottles, even toilet paper ghosts if you want to do pumpkin bowling like we did in these Halloween party games.
The rules are simple – bowl blindfolded as many times as needed until you knock all the pins down or until the minute is up. This is definitely one where you’ll want a team to help get the ball(s) back to whoever is bowling!
#9 – Speed Matters
#9 – Speed Matters Set up an obstacle course of things like cones, toys, books, etc. in a large area. Player must scoot from the start of the obstacle course to the finish and back on a bath mat or towel. Players can either race to finish before a minute is up or time them and the fastest racer wins.
If you want to make this a team game, instead of scooting on the bath mat, have one player pull the other player on the mat!
#10 – Face the Cookie
If you’ve ever played minute to win it games before, you’ve probably played this one! Players must put an Oreo (or any other kind of cookie) on their forehead and get it to their mouth using only their face muscles (no hands).
I’ve seen this done by using face muscles or by popping the cookie up and catching in your mouth – the former is definitely easier but not as fun!
